AMY Vietnamese cuisine & cafe sits tucked within Gala Street Mall in Stampin, Kuching, offering a straightforward Vietnamese dining experience that feels close to home for those familiar with the cuisine. This spot operates more like a casual eatery than a formal restaurant, with air-conditioned comfort and a focus on quick, authentic meals.

The ordering process is predominantly digital, using a QR code system which suits the local crowd who appreciate efficiency, especially during lunch hours when the nearby office workers and mall visitors drop by. While the staff might not be fluent in English, communication flows smoothly in Malay and Mandarin, reflecting the multilingual fabric of Kuching’s community.

AMY’s menu leans heavily into classic Vietnamese staples. Regulars recommend the Grilled Pork Banh Mi, noted for its crunchy yet soft bread and bold, tender pork flavors. The spring rolls, packed with thick prawn meat and balanced dressing, make for a satisfying snack or starter. Noodle options, such as the pork and beef kuey tiao pho, offer comforting broths that taste as if simmered long enough to develop depth, making them ideal for a modest midday or evening meal.

The atmosphere is unpretentious and functional — no elaborate decorations but clean and comfortable enough to linger a bit after your meal. Parking can be a challenge, especially during peak times, but finding a spot across the street can ease the hassle. This makes AMY a convenient stop for locals craving a quick taste of Vietnam without straying far from home.

This place suits those who value authentic, straightforward Vietnamese flavors served in a practical, no-fuss setting. It works well for solo diners, small groups, or families looking to enjoy a familiar meal without formality. Visits are best timed during off-peak hours if you want a quieter experience, though the casual buzz during peak lunch reflects its steady local following.

Authentic Vietnamese shop with Vietnamese staff and cook. They are not able to speak in English but they can speak in Mandarin and Malay. You can order via the QR code or manually tell them your orders. Originally wanted to get banh xeo (crispy Vietnamese pancake) but it was not available. The size of the banh mi is quite small for its price but it tastes healthy and delicious. The beef stew with kueh tiaw noodles has a mild beef flavour. It is more to light broth as it does not taste heavy or strong but nice and easy to eat. The beef can be quite chewy. Bun thit nuong (grilled pork with rice vermicelli and veges) are delicious. My favourite dish here. The iced asam peanuts is not sweet and not too sour. Tastes refreshing but also pretty diluted as it lacks flavour as I expected a sourer taste. The Vietnamese iced coffee is my favourite as it is affordable and delicious. The seats are small, so cannot really lepak here for long. They play Vietnamese songs at the background and it makes you feel like you have transported to Vietnam. The prices are pretty comparable to other Vietnamese shops in Kuching. Worth a try and will try more dishes here

I have lived in Melbourne for four years. With Melbourne Vietnamese standard is only 1 star. But in Malaysia standard , is consider 4 star Vietnamese Pho and Bánh mì. I have try the Pho and Bánh mì in KL, Singapore and Penang before. But never go to Vietnam to try... This Amy Vietnamese Restaurant food tastes still ok. A bit of salty compare to Melbourne Pho is the taste is very light and full of fragrance. In Kuching , what do you expect?

I had such a great experience dining here! The comforting noodle broth that tasted like it had been simmered for hours and flavorful. The service was warm and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth revisiting!

Went for lunch there today with my husband and mil and we were lucky to find parking directly across the street. Parking seems to be quite difficult here since a lot of eateries in the area. The restaurant is air conditioned and very comfortable. Ordering is done via an app and quite seamless. We tried the pork kuey tiao pho, beef kuey tiao pho, grilled pork rice, prawn rolls and another beef noodle soup. Finished everything between the three of us! Food was that good! Price wise it's a bit up there, averaging about rm15 per bowl of pho, but definitely worth a try if you're craving Vietnamese cuisine. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. The beef in my pho was a little raw so I had them reheat it to fully cook the beef and they were very quick to rectify it. Also, my husband loved their iced Vietnamese coffee! Very kaw and got kick. Haha.

Just found this place from google map. Those staffs are very friendly and polite also helpful. We can order the food through QR scan or staff. All dishes are delicious and affordable. The environment is comfortable and cozy but the table is small due to small place.

We visited Amy Vietnamese Cuisine and Cafe and tried their Vietnamese beef pho and grilled pork banh mi. The beef pho was flavorful with a rich, aromatic broth and tender beef slices, plus they serve it with a generous portion of noodles. The grilled pork banh mi was equally satisfying. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside while soft inside and the pork filling was savory and well-seasoned. A simple but very enjoyable Vietnamese meal

A moderate cafe that churns out lots of Vietnamese one-dish meal. App-driven menu. Great food that's 'atas' Kopitiam level.
